[Chase 057] Dark Frequencer : “Wasted Landscapes”
Dark Frequencer strikes back! After his full length “Utopian World” album on Chase 048, I’m glad to present you this new perfectly titled EP from this talented Polish dark electronic producer. Darek’s music has definitely something to say, something for the listener to imagine or discover. The work on the atmosphere of the tracks here is amazing. This “Wasted Landscapes” Ep is just waiting for you to plug your headphones, close your eyes, and let your mind travelling into dark and oppressive worlds. The titles of the tracks seem to have been chosen wisely as they perfectly fit with the music itself. Expect dark atmospheric ambient here, sometimes to be scattered with hypnotic beats like in “Circle Of Solitude”. This 4 tracks EP could be the perfect soundtrack for an introspective journey through your imagination…

[Chase 058] Christian Fiesel : “Gravestone Alley”
I’m really glad to present another great Ambient / Dark Ambient / Drone release on Chase output. This new one is by german artist Christian Fiesel who has already released several albums and EP on Somehow Recordings and Webbed Hand as well. The music on this “Gravestone Alley” EP is dense, cold, glacial. Here are the words of the artist himself about these works: “The EP published here was created spring 2013 and is part of a bigger series with treated voices embedded in spooky spoken words and ghostly choirs. The plot of the EP is talking a walk through a cemetery of all those human loses occur due to technical and human flaws with new technology (i.e. Chernobyl in “Winds Of East”). If there’s a musical direction besides of “experimental” than it might be kind of ambient/dark ambient.”
With these 6 tracks, you can expect ethereal atmospheres interspersed with strange and distant vocal elements like if the listener was drowned and incarcerated into a parallel universe made of oppressive liquid or gaseous forms without any chance of retrieval. This music is designed for headphones listening and is aimed to let your imagination construct its own acoustic prison. Paradoxical, isn’t it?

[Chase 060] – [Deep] Into The Abyss – 3xCD Electronic Compilation
After 9 years of dedication to free underground electronic music, I've reached to the decision that the time has come for Chase Records Netlabel to plunge into the depths of the Internet ocean, probably forever.
Yes, dear friends and listeners, you've guessed it, this means Chase Records will stops its activities with that 60th and LAST release.
But in any mean I could stop the label without putting all my efforts in trying to offer a last groundbreaking release. So, for this last session I've contacted various artists I love, from all around the world, to ask them to create / send a track they feel to be related with the theme of the abyss. I give them a white card to submit what could be their ideal soundtrack for a diving to the darkest depths of the ocean.
35 of them answered positively to this request and send 36 - believe me - absolutely awesome tracks, covering a wide range of styles and BPM.
As I really wanted this compilation to sound and look professional, I've asked to Arnaud Ruffieux (Ruff-Tang Laboratories / Switzerland - http://www.ruff-tang.com/labs/actualites.html) to provide the mastering for the tracks and Arnaud Coeffic aka Arco / Sonic Area (France) to create the artwork of the release.
The final result of all these concerted efforts is this incredible 3 CDs compilation, available for free, and just waiting for you to hit the download button and PLAY IT OUT LOUD!
Honestly, I couldn't hope more for a last release! So I would like to thank every contributing artists, as I would also like to thank all the previous Chase Records artists, friends, listeners and contributors during those 9 years of pure experience in the awesome world of hard and dark electronic music.
